Taylorville Resident Arrested for Residential Burglary/Resisting Arrest

The Taylorville Police Department had their hands full during an arrest on Monday. Around 11:16pm, 911 radioed the Taylorville Police Department in reference to a male subject who came home and found a woman in his house and now was following her outside the residence on foot. While in route, the male told dispatch that the female was wearing tan or light gray pants and a black hooded sweatshirt and was walking towards Samuel Street through the yards. An officer located the female hiding behind a white truck at 917 Kenton Street and identified her as Dotty M. Eppenger, 27, of Taylorville. Eppenger resisted arrest and struck 2 officers. After placing her under arrest, Michael Redwine walked up and wanted to talk to officers. Eppenger was transported to Taylorville Police Department and later transported to Taylorville Memorial Hospital for an injury she sustained while resisting. Both were interviewed and Redwine was transported to Gas Light Motel and Eppenger was transported to Christian County Correctional Center in lieu of bond for charges of residential burglary, resisting arrest, and aggravated battery.
