The Walmart in Taylorville was targeted 3 times this past weekend for retail thefts including 2 on Sunday. On Friday, a Taylorville Police Department officer was advised of a retail theft that occurred at Walmart. The officer located and arrested 24-year-old Michael L. Droke of Taylorville for retail theft. On Sunday, Taylorville Police Department officers were again out at Walmart in reference to a retail theft that had occurred. Following the investigation, 29-year-old Zachary D. Liberty of Stonington was arrested for retail theft. That same day, TPD officers were sent back to Walmart on another retail theft call. The suspect reportedly fled the scene and was  later located walking on Route 104 near NewWave Communications. She was identified as 43-year-old Wonda Y. Davis of Decatur. Davis was then placed under arrest for retail theft.
