Area Arrests/Crashes/Incidents 4-15-14

THE CHRISTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:

Brian K. Sisk, 39, of 604 Edwards Street, Nokomis, was arrested April 14 on bond forfeiture for 3 counts of failure to appear/answer.

Kristopher M. Swineburne, 25, of 805 West Franklin Street, Taylorville, was arrested April 14 on a bond forfeiture for failure to appear.

 

THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:

On April 9 at 4:02pm, a Taylorville Police Department officer was on patrol and conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the parking lot of Amity Food Mart. Following the stop, Rodney A. Aten, 36, of Taylorville was arrested for driving while license suspended and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On April 10 at 5:55pm, Taylorville Police Department were out at 508 North West Street in reference to Deanna R. Durbin, 31, of Taylorville having a valid Christian County warrant. Officers made contact with Durbin and confirmed the warrant through the Law Enforcement Agencies Data System. Durbin was arrested and transported to Christian County Sheriff's Office.

On April 9 at 4:35pm, Taylorville Police Department officer were out at the Marsango Plaza with Chloe L. Windell, 19, of Taylorville. Officer knew Windell to have a valid Christian County warrant. Windell was arrested and transported to Christian County Sheriff's Office.

On April 10, a Taylorville Police Department officer was dispatched to Ridge Avenue in regards to a disturbance. Following the investigation, Steven M. Frazier, 40, of Saint Charles, Iowa was arrested for public intoxication. Frazier was transported to Taylorville Police Department, processed, and released on a notice to appear.

On April 11 at 1:45am, a Taylorville Police Department officer made contact with Brittany N. Benedict, 24, of Taylorville in the parking lot of McDonalds. Benedict had an active warrant out of Sangamon County. Benedict was place under arrest and transported to Christian County Sheriff's Office in lieu of bond.

On April 11, a Taylorville Police Department officer was advised of a retail theft that occurred at Walmart. The officer located the vehicle and stopped it on Cherokee just north of Poplar. Following the investigation, the officer recovered the stolen item. Michael L. Droke, 24, of Taylorville was placed under arrest for retail theft. Droke was processed and released on a notice to appear.

On April 12 at 3:14pm, a Taylorville Police Department officer observed a vehicle with a female driver traveling westbound on East Park Street. The officer knew the driver to be Tiffany M. Spracklen, 24, of Taylorville and knew she had a suspended driver's license. The officer radioed other Taylorville officers and another officer located the vehicle in the 800 Block of East Oak Street. Spracklen was issued a citation for driving while license suspended and was released on scene.

On April 12 at 8:22pm, a Taylorville Police Department officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in Angelos parking lot. Cody R. Kee, 23, of Taylorville was arrested for driving while license suspended. Kee was transported to Taylorville Police Department for processing and released on a notice to appear.

On April 13 at 5:00pm, Taylorville Police Department officers were out at Walmart in reference to a retail theft that had occurred. Following the investigation, Zachary D. Liberty, 29, of Stonington was arrested for retail theft. Liberty was transported to Taylorville Police Department, processed, and released with a notice to appear.

On April 13, Taylorville Police Department officers were dispatched to Walmart in reference to a retail theft. The suspect fled the scene and was described as a black female wearing a black jacket and black pants. The female was located walking on Route 104 near NewWave Communications. She was identified as Wonda Y. Davis, 43, of Decatur. Davis was placed under arrest for retail theft and battery. Davis was processed and transported to Christian County Correctional Center in lieu of bond.
