Area Arrests/Crashes/Incidents 4-14-14

THE CHRISTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE REPORTS THE FOLLOWING:

ARRESTS:

Steven S. Pickler, 27, of 700 Monroe Street, Pana, was arrested April 12 on bond forfeitures for the manufacturing/delivery of cannabis and for failure to appear/answer.

Bridgett A. Conklin, 18, of 941 North 2500 East Road, Assumption, was arrested April 13 for battery.

Wonda Y. Davis, 43, of 752 East Johns Avenue, Decatur, was arrested April 13 for retail theft.

On April 13, Lisa M. Engeling of Morrisonville was southbound on County Highway 1. At approximately 1150 North, a deer entered the roadway. Engeling struck the deer and received front-end damage. No injuries reported.

On April 11, Spencer P. White of Stonington was southbound on Illinois Route 29 and stopped in traffic to make a left turn onto Franklin Street in Edinburg. While waiting for a break in the northbound traffic, White was hit from behind. Brooke A. DeClerk of Taylorville was also southbound and failed to see that White was stopped and struck him. Both vehicles were drivable after the crash. No injuries were reported.

 

THE PANA POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING:

After a sex abuse investigation on 21-year-old Kyle N. Pruett that was conducted by Taylorville Police Department, Christian County Sheriff's Office and Pana Police Department, information will be sent to the State's Attorney office for possible charges against Pruett for incidents that occurred in the month of March at his residence with a 16-year-old female.

On April 10, Patricia K. Macrae of Pana called the Pana Police Department and advised that after an altercation with Travis Miller, 29, of Pana, Miller intentionally drove his truck into the back of her car. This case is under further investigation.

Following a traffic stop on April 12 at 10 Block Congress Alley in Pana, William D. Thomas, 27, of Pana was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and issued a citation for driving in the wrong lane. Thomas was issued a notice to appear in court and released. Steven S. Pickler, 27, of Pana was arrested on a Christian County warrant for failure to appear . Pickler was transported to Christian County Sheriff's Office in lieu of bond. Rebecca S. Amling, 29, of Pana and Debra K. Garland, 37, of Pana were both issued citations for illegal transportation of alcohol by a passenger.

Following a traffic stop on April 12, Lukas B. Schneider, 25, of Nokomis was issued a citation for operating uninsured motor vehicle and a citation for improper turn. Schneider posted his driver license as bond and given a court date.

On April 13, Danny J. Jones reported that sometime after 1pm on April 12, someone kicked in the front door of his property located at 500 North Elizabeth Street in Pana. The interior door jamb was damaged. The case is under investigation.

On April 13, Lanaya K. Lawrence, 19, of Pana was arrested on a Montgomery County warrant for failure to appear. Lawrence posted cash bond and was released.
