The Miller Media Group's March of Dimes Team Princess Alexis, held its third and final fund-raiser of the year for the charity, on Saturday in front of the stations' studios at 918 East Park in Taylorville.

It was the annual drive-thru donation day, where team captain Sheri Miller did a live broadcast on all 5 Miller Media Group radio stations from 9am to 2pm asking motorists to drive thru the parking lot with their donations for the March of Dimes.

Several hundred dollars were raised from Saturday's event. With all 3 events and on-line giving totaled up, Sheri's Team Princess Alexis has raised over 6-thousand dollars for the March of Dimes in their efforts to help prevent birth defects and premature birth, as well as infant mortality.  Sheri organized the team 3 years ago after the loss of her daughter Alexis 40 minutes after she was born.  Alexis had a birth defect with her lungs not fully developed.

Sheri and her team thank all those who donated to the March of Dimes in the March 20 Radiothon, the April 5 5-K Color Run, and Saturday's drive-thru donation day.

Sheri and her team will walk in the annual March of Dimes March for Babies at the Illinois State Fairgrounds on April 26th, when all the donations will be turned in. You can still give toward Sheri's team on-line by going to teamprincessalexis-dot-com.
