Three Arrested on Meth Manufacturing Charges

Three people in Taylorville were arrested for methamphetamine charges this past weekend. On Saturday, the Taylorville Police Department executed a state authorized search warrant on a residence located at 508 South Webster Street in Taylorville in connection with the unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine. During the search of the residence an active methamphetamine lab was discovered.

42-year-old Pamela L. Muffick, 56-year-old Julie A. Hampton, and 41-year-old Richard M. Ruff all of Taylorville were taken into custody without incident for Aggravated Unlawful Participation in Methamphetamine Production and Unlawful Possession of Meth Manufacturing Materials.

The Illinois State Police Meth Response Team (MRT) assisted in dismantling of the lab and respective lab cleanup.

These arrests come from an ongoing investigation by the Taylorville Police Department into the unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine. The Taylorville Police Department is asking anyone with information relating to the unlawful manufacturing or distribution of methamphetamine or any other illegal substance to contact them at 217.824.2211 or Crime Stoppers at 824-9100.
