The drama continues in the town of Kincaid.  The mayor has been arrested twice for harassing his ex-boyfriend and the chief of police was also taken into custody on separate charges.  Now parents in the small town think the drama will put a wrench in plans to merge school districts.

Mike Lawrence is a Kincaid resident who says they’re trying to consolidate schools in the Edinburg and South Fork School Districts because of low enrollment.  But now he’s afraid parents in Edinburg will back out, thinking there’s too much corruption in Kincaid’s South Fork district.  He says that’s sad because they’ve been discussing the merger for three years.  Lawrence has filed a petition calling for the mayor to step down but the mayor says that’s not going to happen.
