(Lake Forest, IL) -- Former Green Bay Packers safety M.D. Jennings agreed to terms on a one-year deal with the Chicago Bears. Jennings, 25, recorded 74 tackles last season in all 16 games for Green Bay, but failed to produce a turnover. The signing of Jennings gives the Bears some depth in the secondary. Jennings was undrafted out of Arkansas State in 2011 and has 133 tackles and a pick six on his resume.
(Tampa Bay, FL) -- Former Bears quarterback Josh McCown has signed a two-year deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers worth ten-million dollars. McCown is guaranteed four-and-a-half million dollars in the contract with an extra five-million available in incentives. McCown played a big role for Chicago last season winning three games in the absence of Jay Cutler. Bucs coach Lovie Smith said McCown will compete for the starting job.
