THE CHRISTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:

Jacquelyn Booker, 23, of 110 Beech Street, Kincaid, was arrested March 11 on a bond forfeiture for failure to appear/answer.

Casey L. Conaway, 20, of 40 Hannon Trailer Court, Taylorville, was arrested March 11 on a warrant for criminal damage to property.

CRASHES:

On March 9, Corrie J. Mathes of Assumption was westbound on County #6 approaching Township Road 2600 East. Amanda R. Cantrell of Pana was northbound on Township Road 2600 East. Mathes advised Cantrell slowed and she though that Cantrell was going to turn so she proceeded through the stop sign. Cantrell stated she slowed at the intersection but did not activate her turn signal and had no intent to turn. Cantrell also stated Mathes did not stop at the posted stop sign. Mathes struck the right front end of Cantrell. No injuries were reported. Mathes was issued a citation for failure to yield at a stop/yield intersection.

On March 4, Britt M. Burton of Kincaid was traveling east 1700 North Road at about 775 East. A deer entered the roadway and Burton struck the deer. Burton had damage to front and front passenger side. No injuries were reported.

On March 11, Juanita E. Goodrich of Moweaqua was southbound on US Highway 51. Goodrich stated she was not use to the new four lane highway. A Christian County Sheriff's deputy asked which lane she was in and she said she was not sure. The deputy told Goodrich from the marks at the scene that she was not in the left turn lane. Goodrich said she was not because she was not sure where she needed to turn. As Goodrich approached the intersection of 1300 North Road, she realized she needed to turn left and began to change lanes. The front left corner of Goodrich struck the passenger side of Aaron M. Stock of Decatur. Goodrich braked and came to a stop at an angle blocking most of the left lane of the intersection of 1300 North Road. Stock stated he was southbound on US Highway 51 and he saw Goodrich traveling south approaching 1300 North Road. Goodrich was in the right lane and had the right turn signal on. Stock moved to the left lane and began to overtake Goodrich. Goodrich suddenly changed lanes striking Stock causing him to spin out of control and slide into the median on the south side of the intersection.
No injuries were reported.
