Area Arrests/Crashes/Incidents 3-10-14

THE CHRISTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE REPORTS THE FOLLOWING CRASHES:

On March 9, Sandra A. Litton of Macon was traveling north on Route 51 when she feel asleep. Litton woke up and saw a deer and swerved to miss the deer. Litton missed the deer and hit a guardrail causing major damage to the guardrail and the vehicle. No injuries were reported.

On March 7, Richard R. Young IV of Edinburg was westbound on 2100 North Road. Young crossed the intersection at 1100 East Road and lost control of the vehicle. Young began to skid and traveled 100ft before crossing the center line into the eastbound lane. Young then began sliding sideways as he crossed back into the westbound lane. Young then went off the roadway into the north ditch. Young traveled in the muddy field and overturned once coming to a reast on the roof facing south west. Young was transported to Memorial Medical Center for treatment of injuries.

ARRESTS:

Jacqueline R. Girard, 29, of 1824 East 600 North, Owaneco, was arrested March 7 for driving on a suspended license and for possession of drug paraphernalia.

James R. Flanagan, 47, of 1316 South Houston Street, Taylorville, was arrested March 7 on a bond forfeiture for failure to appear.

Davante D. Reed, 21, of Lincoln Shire, Decatur, was arrested March 7 on a bond forfeiture for failure to appear and for driver's license revoked/suspended.

Steven M. Frazier, 40, of 3392 265th Street, St. Charles, Iowa, was arrested March 8 for domestic battery.

Donald R. Linton, 33, of 1738 North 600 East Road, Edinburg, was arrested March 8 on a bond forfeiture for failure to appear.

Shayne E. Odell, 40, of 1215 Springfield Street, Kincaid, was arrested March 9 for battery.

 

THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARREST:

On March 7 at 11:17pm, Taylorville Police Department officers made a traffic stop on a vehicle for failing to stop at a stop sign. Following the investigation, Vincent De La Cruz, 32, of Taylorville was arrested for driving while license is revoked. De La Cruz was transported to Taylorville Police Department, processed, and released with a notice to appear.
