Bears Parting Ways With Hester; Sign Ratliff; Cut Podlesh

>>Bears Parting Ways With Hester 

(Undated)  --  The Chicago Bears will not have one of the most dangerous return men in league history next season.  Devin Hester told NFL Network yesterday the two sides are parting ways.  Hester is the NFL's all-time leader with 13 punt returns for touchdowns.  He also has five kick returns for touchdowns.  He has played all eight NFL seasons with the Bears. 

>>Bears Agree With Ratliff 

(Undated)  --  The Chicago Bears are bringing back defensive tackle Jeremiah Ratliff.  Both sides agreed to a two-year contract.  The former seventh round pick had 14 and a half tackles and a sack and a half after signing with the team in November.  He is a four-time Pro Bowler and has started 89 of his 109 games played with Dallas and Chicago

>>Bears Cut Podlesh 

(Undated)  --  The Chicago Bears are moving on without punter Adam Podlesh.  The team released him yesterday and will save nearly two-million-dollars in cap space.  Podlesh was due to make 1.45-million.  He was with Chicago for three seasons and averaged 42.3 yards per punt while with the team.
