The National Weather Service allowed the Winter Weather Advisory for many of the Regional Radio counties, to expire at 6 o'clock Sunday night. The snow in the advisory area ended late Sunday afternoon.
A Winter Storm Warning remains, though, for Shelby, Moultrie, and Effingham counties and those eastward, until 6am Monday. An additional 2 to 3 inches of snow is likely be tomorrow morning. Winds will be out of the north 15 to 20 miles an hour, creating hazardous travel in the warning area.
While snow totals in many areas were much less than predicted, wind chills across Central Illinois are expected to be between 10 and 15 below zero Sunday night into Monday morning.
