In the IHSA Class 1-A Girls Basketball Tournament at ISU's Redbird Arena, #2-rated Central A&M lost in their bid to take 3rd Place against #3-rated Eastland with the Lady Cougars on top 55-50, as heard Friday on Genuine Country 94.3 WMKR. The Lady Raiders dropped to 27 and 7 for the season on the 2-game losing streak taking the 4th place spot in the tournament. It was the first state appearance for the Lady Cougars who finished third in their very first state appearance, improving their record to 29 and 6. NOTE: There will be a reception to welcome the Lady Raiders back home at Central A&M High School at 5pm Saturday (3/1/14).
