The Taylorville School Board heard about the final plan for the Ameresco Building Project at North Elementary. Superintendent Dr. Gregg Fuerstenau gave the Board an update on the latest plan:
Several members of the Ameresco team were on hand with several layouts to display the new plan to the Board. In the new plan, the multipurpose building/gym will be built on the back half of North Elementary. The Board unanimously approved the plan.
The Taylorville School Board was presented with a resolution to provide for the issue of General Obligation School Bonds of the District for the purpose of improving existing school buildings and facilities. The Board approved the $9 million-450 thousand dollar amount in sold bonds which they will receive on December 20th.
The Board also approved a contract extension with Durham Bus Service and approved a bid of just under $21,500 from Paper Corporation for paper for the 2013-14 school year. The Board approved for the 2013 Tax Levy to be filed.
