Area Arrests/Accidents/Incidents 12-3-13

THE CHRISTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:

Jennifer A. Girard, 25, of 817 West Market, Taylorville, was arrested December 2 for driving with a suspended license.

Keith A. Lyons, 37, of 106 East 7th Street, Pana, was arrested December 2 for no driver's license.

Michael D. Kline, 30, of 1212 West Pauline, Taylorville, was arrested December 2 for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Chloe L. Kindell, 19, of 516 Taylorville Boulevard, Taylorville, was arrested December 2 for driving with a suspended license.

Steve M. Stolte, 41, of 301 Snell, Blue Mound, was arrested December 2 on a warrant for theft by deception.

Deric D. Brown, 26, of 48 Fairview Court, Taylorville, was arrested December 2 for possession of a controlled substance and possession of cannabis.

 

THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING:

ARRESTS:
On December 2 at 2:37pm, a Taylorville Police Department officer was assisting Christian County deputies on a traffic stop at Walgreens. While on scene, the officer observed a male subject driving a vehicle on Webster that then proceeded to pull into Walgreens. The officer made contact with Deric D. Brown, 26, of Taylorville. Following the investigation, Brown was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, possession of cannabis, and no valid driver's license. He was transported to Christian County Correctional Center.

On November 21, Kirby D. Hames of Taylorville was parked in the 100 block of North Main Street. An unknown vehicle tried to park in front of Hames and while backing, struck Hames' vehicle. The unknown vehicle then left the scene. Hames was also able to drive from the scene.

On November 13, a vehicle registered to Stefanie A. Oats of Taylorville pulled into the parking lot of Circle K. The vehicle was apparently left in reverse as the driver exited the vehicle. The vehicle backed out of the parking lot of Circle K and into the 400 block of West Spresser Street. The vehicle made a half circle and struck Christena M. Smith, 58, of Owaneco who observed what happened and was stopped in traffic. The vehicle continued up over the curb and struck a landscaping area in front of McDonalds before coming to a stop. No injuries reported.
