Area Arrests/Accidents/Incidents 12-2-13

THE CHRISTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:

Michael J. Masterson, 28, of 409 North Elm Street, Centralia, was arrested on November 27 on a warrant for criminal damage to property and a bond forfeiture for battery.

Zachry W. Bough, 29, of 315 East Franklin, Taylorville, was arrested on November 29 on a bond forfeiture for driving while license is revoked or suspended.

Alicia A. Pattarozzi, 28, of 410 South Pawnee Street, Taylorville, was arrested on November 29 on a bond forfeiture for driving while license is revoked or suspended.

Jeffrey S. Declerck, 52, of 614 East Main Cross Street, Taylorville, was arrested on November 30 for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Jacob B. Melton, 30, of 8 Mary Street, Tovey, was arrested on November 30 on a warrant for domestic battery and an on-view arrest for domestic battery, aggravated robbery, and telephone harassment.

Briar D. Samson, 18, of 901 East Stevenson, Taylorville, was arrested on November 30 on a warrant for knowingly damaging property.

ACCIDENTS:

On November 27, Jeff A. Cravens, 40, of Pana was parked in a driveway at 23 North 2700 East Road and Dakota J. Rudow, 21, of Pana, was parked behind him. Cravens backed up in the driveway and hit the passenger side of Rudow damaging the side mirror and door.

On November 29, Dorris L. Althoff, 54, of Assumption was traveling east on County 6. At about 2050 East Road, a deer ran into the roadway. Althoff hit the deer causing damage to the vehicle. No injuries were reported.

On November 30, Heather L. Brummet, 44, of Pana was traveling north on County 1. At approximately 340 North, a deer ran into the roadway and Brummet was unable to stop and hit the deer. No injuries were reported.

On December 1, Hannah N. Bowerman, 25, of Troy was southbound on County Highway 1 when she looked down to get her glass of tea and ran off the edge of the roadway. Bowerman over-corrected and began to slide sideways. Bowerman continued to slide but was able to regain control. Bowerman ran off the east side of the roadway and hit the ditch causing damage. No injuries were reported.

 

THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:

On November 30 at 2:58pm, Taylorville Police Department officers were dispatched to Amity Food Mart in reference to a subject stealing liquor. Following investigation, Jake E. Tucker, 21, of Taylorville was arrested for two counts of retail theft.

On November 30 at 2:58pm, a Taylorville Police Department officer was dispatched to Amity in reference to a theft that had occurred. Upon arrival, the officer observed Briar D. Samson, 18, of Taylorvillle who the officer knew to have a valid warrant out of Christian County. Samson was placed under arrest and transported to the Christian County Sheriff's Office where he was lodged without bond.

On November 30 at 6:38pm, a Taylorville Police Department officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation. Upon further investigation, Ronald D. Fisher, 19, of Taylorville was arrested for illegal consumption/possession of alcohol by a minor. Fisher was transported to Taylorville Police Department for processing and released on a notice to appear.

 

THE PANA POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING:

On November 27, Kenneth Evrley reported an incident of deceptive practices-stolen checks. The case is under investigation.

On November 27, a complaint was signed against Shauna N. Green, 30, of Pana for unlawful visitation interference. Information is being forwarded to the State's Attorney for review.

On November 28, Lisa R. Neal, 45, of Pana was stationary in the drive-thru lane of McDonalds. Jabbaria S. Gore, 18, of Pana was traveling south on the west side of the drive-thru lane. Gore turned eastbound and struck Neal. No injuries reported.

Following a traffic stop on November 30, John S. Mikalik, 47, of Lockport was issued a citation for speeding 64mph in a 45mph zone. Mikalik posted a cash bond and was given a court date.

On November 30, Weston T. Smith, 17, of Pana was issued a citation for disobeying a stop sign.

Following a traffic stop on November 30, Steven E. Peralta, 43, of Springfield was issued a citation for speeding 65mph in a 45mph zone. Peralta posted his driver's license as bond and was given a court date.

Following a traffic stop on December 1, Kyle A. Matthews, 20, of Charleston was issued a citation for speeding 55mph in a 30mph zone. Matthews posted his driver's license as bond and was given a court date.

Following a traffic stop on December 1, Amy J. Puckett, 27, of Shelbyville was issued a citation for disobeying a stop sign. Puckett posted her driver's license as bond and was given a court date.
