One of Taylorville's claims to fame as "The Christmas Capital of Illinois" is coming up. Christmas in the Park at Manners Park kicks off in a few weeks. Park Recreation Director Bailey Hancock says before the park is open for driving through, it will open for foot traffic:

On Friday December 13th, Christmas in the Park will open for drive through traffic, and be open every night from 5 to 10pm. There is no charge to drive through.
