Area Arrests/Accidents/Incidents 11-7-13

THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:

On November 6, a Taylorville Police Department officer ran a license plate through the Law Enforcement Agencies Data System and it returned for mandatory insurance violation. The officer stopped the vehicle at Cheney and Poplar. The driver was identified as Tiffany Wagoner. She was issued a citation and the vehicle was towed by Larry's.

On November 6 at 4:27pm, a Taylorville Police Department officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at Lincoln Trail and Route 48. Following the stop, Brian K. Tacket, 27, of Taylorville was arrested for driving while license is suspended.

On November 4, a Taylorville Police Department officer was dispatched to 46 Hannon Trailer Court in regards to a disturbance. The officer arrived and during the course of the investigation, Michael J. Alberts, 29, of Taylorville was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct. Alberts was transported to Taylorville Police Department, processed, and released on a notice to appear.

ACCIDENTS:

On November 2, Matthew T. Hushour, 20, of Taylorville was westbound on Spresser and passes the witness vehicle that was turning into McDonald's. Alexandra C. Norville, 17, of Palmer was pulling out of McDonald's. Hushour accelerates around the witness vehicle and strikes Norville. Norville stated that she saw the vehicle slowing down to turn into McDonald's and thought it was safe for her to pull out. No injuries were reported.

 

THE PANA POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING:

While investigating a report of a domestic dispute on November 4, items of drug paraphernalia were located inside 306 South Clark Street in Pana. Charges against Laurie A. Saunders, 50, of Pana and Merle E Saunders Jr., 39, of Pana are pending. Items seized to be sent to the Illinois State Police Crime Lab for analysis.

On November 5, Kimberly Green reported criminal damage that occurred at 300 South State Street in Pana. Sometime between 10:00pm on November 4 and 7:00am on November 5, an unknown person(s) broke the windshield on a 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix that was parked in the driveway. The vehicle's battery was also apparently damaged during the same incident. The Grand Prix is owned by Starla D. Hostetler of 304 North Chestnut Street, Pana. The damaged vehicle equipment is valued at $426.38.

As a result of an investigation, Sarah E. Fleet, 20, of Pana was charged with zero tolerance and illegal transportation of alcohol citation.

On November 4, Michelle M. Frost, 31, of Pana stopped at a red light on Second and Poplar facing westbound. Glenda C. Spinner, 50, of Assumption was also westbound and failed to stop in time and struck Frost in the rear bumper. There was no noticeable damage on Frost and slight damage on Spinner's front bumper. Frost was issued a citation for operating a vehicle uninsured. No injuries were reported

Following a disturbance on November 4 at 100 Block West 2nd, Paul E. Allen, 18, was arrested for disorderly conduct. Allen was issued a notice to appear in court and released.

On November 6, Anita S. Hrabak, 47, of Pana was traveling south on Maple Street. Jeric D. Horsthemke, 22, of Pana was traveling east on 4th Street. Hrabak stopped at the stop sign. Hrabak did not see any vehicles coming and proceeded into the intersection and struck the rear driver's side fender of Horsthemke. No injuries were reported. Hrabak was issued a citation for failure to yield at an intersection.
