Taylorville Kiwanis Hold Monthly Business Meeting At Weekly Luncheon

The Taylorville Kiwanis Club held their monthly business meeting, at their weekly luncheon Tuesday at the Taylorville Memorial Hospital auditorium.

 

Committee chairs reported on local Kiwanis events and activities for children and youth in the community.

 

Kiwanis treasurer Dan Sneed reported over 29-hundred dollars were spent recently, providing coats and hats for over 50 pre-schoolers in the Taylorville area.

 

Key Club committee chair Jody Mink, reported that the High School Key Club recently raised money by trick or treating for UNICEF, the United Nations Children’s Organization.

 

And Spiritual Aims committee chair Dick Wamsley reported that this year’s Taylorville Kiwanis Club Christmas Luncheon will take place at Vision Way Christian School, with the school serving Kiwanis members and guests lunch and Vision Way students providing a Christmas program.

 

Judy Prasun, an assistant vice president at People’s Bank and Trust in Taylorville, was inducted as the newest member of the Taylorville Kiwanis Club, during Tuesday’s meeting.  She was sponsored by Dan Sneed.

 

The Taylorville Kiwanis Club is part of global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.  Weekly meetings are held Tuesdays at noon at the Taylorville Memorial Hospital auditorium.  For information on the club, go to taylorvillekiwanis.com.
