THE CHRISTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE REPORTS THE FOLLOWING:
James E. Fishburn, 22, of 100 East Vine, Taylorville, was arrested October 21 on a bond forfeiture for possession of cannabis.
THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:
On October 21 at 11:29am, Taylorville Police Department offices were dispatched to a 911 hang up in the 900 block of East Stevenson. Officers arrived on scene and spoke to several witnesses who advised of a domestic disturbance that had occurred. Upon further investigation, Ryan M. West, 22, of Taylorville and Michael G. West, 43, of Taylorville were arrested for domestic battery. They were both transported to Christian County Sheriff's Office where they were lodged.
On October 21 at 8:36am, Taylorville Police Department officer were dispatched in reference to a fight between two women. Officers arrived and found that Dakoda B. Shanks, 19, of Taylorville and her 17-year-old girlfriend had a verbal argument that turned physical. Both advised they struck each other. Both received injuries which were later photograph and the photos were placed into evidence. Both were arrested for domestic battery and later given an Illinois Domestic Violent Act.. The 17-year-old was processed and released to her mother. Shanks was processed and transported to Christian County Correctional Center in lieu of bond.
On October 21 at 3:58pm, a Taylorville Police Department officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at Route 48 and Lincoln Trail. Following the stop, Amanda N. Langston, 30, of Assumption was issued citations for driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Langston was released from the scene on a notice to appear.
