As the government shutdown continues, one group of people that could soon be majorly affected by it is disabled veterans. Public Advocate Chad Weber of Stonington says if they don’t figure it out soon, disabled veterans won’t get paid. Weber, who is also a disabled veteran himself, tells Regional Radio News what the effects could be if this were to happen:

Weber says they are looking for people to help start a bank trust so that the next payroll is met no matter what. If you are interested in helping or have suggestions, call Chad at 820-1590.
