Taylorville Kiwanis Hold Monthly Business Meeting At Weekly Luncheon

The Taylorville Kiwanis Club held their monthly business meeting reviewing current activities to benefit children and youth in the Taylorville community and around the world, during the weekly luncheon Tuesday at the Taylorville Memorial Hospital auditorium.

 

          Kiwanis treasurer Dan Sneed reported that the recent Kiwanis Peanut Days on the streets of Taylorville in September, grossed the club over 56-hundred dollars, and after expenses netted the club some 38-hundred dollars to go towards local projects for children and youth.

 

          Kiwanis Builders Club advisor Gina Prinzavalli reported that some 38 junior high’ers have joined the local Builders Club at Taylorville Junior High School, and will be providing service to the community in coming weeks.

 

          Kiwanis Park chair Jerry Woodard reported that maintenance continues to be done to the park on Lake Taylorville, including repairing and replacing park benches, playground equipment, and landscaping.
