A Herrick man who lost his father to suicide just over one year ago, is working to raise money for a suicide prevention organization.
Trevor Thompson lost his father Mitchell to suicide in September of 2012, and to honor his memory, is raising money for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention Effingham County Community Walk taking place September 28th at the Blue Shelter of the Effingham Community Park.
Thompson will be set up in front of the Miller Media Group studios at 918 East Park in Taylorville, tomorrow (Saturday) from 9am to 2pm, accepting drive-thru donations for the A-F-S-P.
Thompson told Regional Radio News why he decided to raise monies for the organization.
