Area Arrests/Accidents/Incidents 9-9-13

THE CHRISTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ACCIDENTS:

On September 8, Jenny R. Wilson, 30, of Blue Mound, was traveling southbound on 1600 East Road just south of 1100 North Road when she drove off the left side of the roadway. Wilson then drove back onto the roadway and off the right side of the roadway. Wilson then over-corrected,lost control, skid cross the roadway, spun around and hit the ditch. Wilson traveled approximately 192 feet during this event and traveled backwards through the ditch for approximately 87 feet until the vehicle got hung up and rolled over. Wilson, along with passengers, had minor injuries but refused medical treatment.

On September 8, John T. Langen, 44, of Morrisonville, was traveling westbound on County Road 12. Langen lost control of his vehicle at 1850 East and drove off the north side of the ditch causing the vehicle to roll. Langen was taken to Pana Community Hospital for treatment of minor injuries and was issued a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

 

THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:

On September 7 at 1:28pm, Taylorville Police Department officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle belonging to Britney K. VanDyke, 25, of Wood River. VanDyke was arrested for driving while license suspended. VanDyke was transported to Taylorville Police Department, processed, and released with a notice to appear.

On September 6 at 8:49pm, Taylorville Police Department officer were sent to 1006 East Franklin, Lot 4, for a check welfare. One of the male subjects, Michael S. Bross, 41, of Taylorville, provided a false identity. It was later learned that he was currently on parole. Bross was arrested for obstruction and the Department of Corrections was contacted.

On September 8 at 1:06am, Taylorville Police Department officers were out at 901 East Adams in reference to Michael Alberts, 29, of Taylorville threatening the occupants of the home with a machete. Alberts was arrested for aggravated assault, transported Taylorville Police Department, processed and released with a notice to appear.

 

THE PANA POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:

Following a traffic stop on August 29, John Cole, 49, of Ramsey was issued a citation for driving while license is revoked. Leonard Cole, 34, of Pana was issued a citation for illegal transportation of alcohol by a passenger. They were both given notices to appear in court. Additional charges against John Cole may be requested for possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia pending lab results.

On September 6, a 16 year old male was reported by Kemmerer Village staff as runaway from 101 East 9th Street. The male was located later that day and returned to Kemmerer Village.

On September 6, information is being forwarded to the States Attorney after an incident at 308 Kitchell involving Julie Davis of Decatur and a 15 year old juvenile.
