The American Red Cross has issued an Emergency Blood Appeal due to a decrease in donors.  The American Red Cross will host a blood drive this Thursday at the First Baptist Church in Shelbyville from Noon to 6:00pm. Glenda Plunkett, Marketing/Volunteer Coordinator, at Shelby Memorial Hospital tells Regional Radio News that June was a tough month for donations:

Plunkett says they don’t want to go back to the days of knocking on doors looking for donors. If you want to schedule an appointment, go to redcrossblood.org or call 1-800-Red-Cross. The First Baptist Church is located across from the Shelbyville High School.
