Howard Buffett Special Guest On Miller Media Group Farm Shows

Howard Buffett, a Central Illinois farmer who heads his own foundation and is the son of Birkshire Hathaway owner Warren Buffett, will be local farm broadcaster Jared White's special guest on the Miller Media Group 6:40am Morning Farm Shows which will air on the group's 3 agriculture radio stations July 8th and 9th.

According to Buffett's Foundation web site, thehowardbuffettfoundation.org, he grew up in Omaha, Nebraska, and has been active in agriculture, business, conservation, philanthropy, photography, and politics.

He currently spends the majority of his time managing the Howard G. Buffett Foundation, a private charitable foundation.  Buffett operates a 1,500-acre family farm in central Illinois and oversees three foundation-operated research  farms: over 1,200 acres in Arizona, over 3,000 acres in Illinois, and 9,200 acres in South Africa. Mr. Buffett has served in a number of public positions.

Buffett serves on several corporate boards include Birkshire Hathaway and Archer Daniels Midland.

White's conversation with Buffett airs in the 6:40am Morning Farm Shows July 8th and 9th on the 3 Miller Media Group ag radio stations:  WHOW The BIG 1520 AM and 92.3 FM in Clinton, WTIM Newstalk 97.3 in Taylorville, and WRJM newstalk 1270 AM/107 FM in Charleston.  Miller Media Group ag programming is also streamed at the company's farm web portal, illinoisfarmradio.com.
