Area Arrests/Accidents 6-24-13

THE CHRISTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE REPORTS THE FOLLOWING:

INCIDENTS:

On June 22, William R. Reeter, 68, of Blue Mound, reported to the Christian County Sheriff’s Office that person(s) had entered his shed and taken his 1996 New Holland 1725 tractor. The tractor was last seen on June 21 at approximately 12:00pm and reported stolen at 9:36am on June 22.

On June 20, Steve Hoffman, 62, of Pana contacted Christian County Sheriff’s Office to report a theft of property. Hoffman said that sometime between June 18 and June 20, unknown person(s) entered the shop building on his property located at 2181 East 700 North Road and stole several different types of copper wiring. He had noticed a battery cable, welding cable and leads, 220 welding cord, three phase electric cord, extension cord wire and Romex wiring had all been taken as well. 

 

ARRESTS:

Michelle L. Smith, 40, of 625 Glen Street, Kincaid, was arrested June 24 for domestic battery.

Georgia E. Ward, 38, of 216 South Locust Street Apartment L, Assumption was arrested June 23 on a bond forfeiture for failure to appear.

Kyle M. Smith, 18, of 635 Glen Street, Kincaid, was arrested June 23 for criminal damages to property.

Clifford E. Ballion, 48, of 905 West Franklin Street, Taylorville was arrested June 23 for domestic battery and driving on a suspended license.

Nathan E. Pinnell, 30, of 107 West First Street, Morrisonville, was arrested June 22 for operating uninsured.

Damon L. Price, 34, of 1523 West Elm Street, Taylorville, was arrested June 23, for domestic battery and interfering with a report of domestic violence.

Patrick M. Motley, 23, of 1254 Illinois Route 48, Taylorville was arrested June 22 for operating uninsured and possession of drug paraphernalia

Brandon J. Emery, 22, of 814 Hawley, Taylorville, was arrested June 22 for driving on a suspended license.

Abigale A. House, 24, of 2100 North Grand Boulevard B1, Taylorville, was arrested on June 21 for battery.

Alexander B. Shanks, 20, of 610 South Webster Street, Taylorville was arrested June 21 for failure to appear.

Justin M. Gatton, 26, of 911 West Park, Taylorville, was arrested June 21 for possession of cannabis.

 

THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING:

ARRESTS:

On June 22, a Taylorville Police Department officer was on patrol and observed a vehicle traveling North on Cheney Street. A registration check of the vehicle showed that the male registered owner had a valid warrant out of Montgomery County. The vehicle pulled into FS. The officer turned around and pulled into the parking lot behind the vehicle. The officer made contact with Nathan E. Pinnell 30, of Morrisonville and identified him as the male registered owner. The officer ran his information through the Law Enforcement Agencies Data System and verified the warrant. Pinnell was placed under arrest and he was transported to Christian County Correctional Center in lieu of bond on the warrant.

On June 22, a Taylorville Police Department officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at Rotue 48 and Cherokee. After the stop, Rhashedd L. Armour, 29, of Petersburg, was arrested fo driving while license was suspended. Armour was released on a notice to appear.

In June 23, a Taylorville Police Department officer observed a male subject laying in the parking lot at the northeast corner of Webster and Market. The officer made contact with Jose Francisco, 39, who was determined to be highly intoxicated. Francisco was arrested for public intoxication and transported to Taylorville Police Department for processing.

Michael E. Wilson, 50, of Taylorville was arrested on June 23 for driving under the influence of alcohol. Wilson was released after posting $100 cash bond and his Illinois driver's license.

On June 23, 911 advised the Taylorville Police Department of a 911 hang up. The owner of the phone resided at 1523 West Elm. A Taylorville Police Department Office went to the address and could hear there was a domestic in progress. The officer mad contact with the subjects and following an investigation, Damon L. Price 34, of Taylorville was arrested for domestic battery and interfering with a report of domestic violence. Price was transported to Taylorville Police Department for processing and later lodged at Christian County Sheriff's Office.

On June 21, two Taylorville Police Officers went to 2100 Grand Boulevard and made contact with Abigale A. House, 24, of Taylorville who was known to have a valid warrant out of Christian County. House was placed under arrest and transported to Christian County Correctional Center in lieu of bond on the warrant.

 

ACCIDENTS:

On June 21, Beverly J Cascio, 81, of Taylorville advised she was exiting from Casey's Gas Station, attempting to turn right onto East Park Street when she struck Kayle M. Matheny, 21, of Taylorville. Cascio advised she did not see Matheny before striking her. Cascio received damage to the front left quarter panel. Matheny advised she was heading easy when Cascio pulled out and struck her passenger side front door.

On May 22, an anonymous owner came to Taylorville Police Department to report that sometime overnight her vehicle had been struck. Damage was done to the driver side mirror. Located at the scene was a passenger side mirror that is from the other vehicle that is unknown at this time.
