Area Arrests/Accidents 6-19-13

THE CHRISTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S REPORTS THE FOLLOWING INCIDENTS:

On June 16, Brett Hogge, 41, of Langleyville, called the Christian County Sheriff's Office to report on unknown person(s) had busted out the driver's side window of his Chrysler Town and Country van sometime throughout the night while parked at his residence, 216 South Vollentine.

 

THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING:

ARRESTS:

On June 17, a Taylorville Police Department officer was sent to the 300 block of North Washington Street in regards to a male subject who had fallen. The officer arrived and made contact with Kebin E. Griffiths, 48, of Taylorville who was walking West on Poplar Street. The officer spoke to Griffiths and noted a very strong odor of alcohol emitting from him. Griffiths was placed under arrest for public intoxication and released on a notice to appear.

 

On June 17, 2 TPD officers went to 515 South Shawnee Street and made contact with Percy D. Wubker, 20, of Jacksonville, who the officers knew had a valid warrant out of Montgomery County. The officers ran Wubker's information through the Law Enforcement Agencies Data System and verified the warrant. Wubker was placed under arrest and transported to Taylorville Police Department. After receiving confirmation, Wubker was transported to Christian Count Correctional Center in lieu of bond.

 

On June 19, a Taylorville Police Department officer was sent to 820 East Oak in reference to a loud noise complaint. The officer went to the area and could hear loud music coming from the garage. Officers made contact with the subjects and subsequently 3 juveniles and 5 minors: Zachary T. Bland, 20, of Taylorville, Daniel T. Crosby, 18, of Pana, Kayman A. Farlow, 19, of Benton, Brion J. MacKenzie, 19, of Taylorville, and Robert C. Scott, 19, of Taylorville, were arrested for illegal consumption and possession of alcohol by a minor. Bland was also charged with possession of cannabis. All subjects were transported to Taylorville Police Department for processing and released on notices to appear.

 

On June 18, a Taylorville Police Department officer was sent to Lake Lot #33 for possible underage drinking. Upon investigation, Kurklan E. Dickey, 18, of Taylorville and two female juveniles were arrested for Illegal Consumption of alcohol by a minor.

 

On June 12, a Taylorville Police Department officer was advised of a male subject lyin on the West side of Casey's East. The subject appeared to be intoxicated. The officer went to the address and made contact with Robert E. Tarrant, 46, of Taylorville. Tarrant was placed under arrest for public intoxication. He was processed and released on a notice to appear.

 

On June 17, Taylorville Police Department officers were sent to 612 East Ash in reference to a domestic dispute. A female identified as Sorsha A. Taylor, 22, of Taylorville was arrested for public intoxication. Taylor was issued a city ordinance for public intoxication and given a notice to appear.

 

ACCIDENTS:

On June 15 at approximately 2:43pm, Tyler R. Adcock, 18, of Moweaqua was traveling westbound from Northern Avenue across Illinois Route 29 to Illinois Route 104 when he was struck by James R. Adkins, 77, of Pana. A witness that was behind Adcock said they had the green light and he saw Adkins was not slowing down for the red light so the witness did not enter the intersection. The witness saw Adkins hit Adcock. Another witness was across the intersection and he too noticed that Adkins was not slowing down. That witness also watched Adkins hit Adcock. Adkins said he thought he had the green light as he went through the intersection and struck Adcock. No injuries were reported. Adkins was towed from the scene.
