Taylorville Residents Arrested for Manufacturing/Delivery of Cannabis

Two Taylorville residents are facing drug charges for the manufacturing and delivery of cannabis. On June 7th, the Taylorville Police Department went to the residence of 62-year-old Steven E. Potts and 33-year-old Nathan P. Allen located at 630 East Adams Street with a state authorized search warrant. During the search, officers found a number of drug paraphernalia items, packaging material, scales, bags of the suspected cannabis, and over 1500-dollars in U.S. currency. Officers also found two handguns with one of them having the serial number defaced. Taylorville Police Deputy Chief Brian Hile tells Regional Radio News what led to the search and arrests:

Potts was also charged with defacing identification of firearms. The investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are pending.
