Sheriff Seeking Information on Crimes

Sheriff Bruce Kettelkamp is seeking the assistance from the public with any information pertaining to the following burglaries that have recently occurred in Christian County:

 

On June 9, the Sheriff's Office was contacted to report a residence in the Lake Bertinetti area had been entered, without permission, and several items were taken.  It was determined forcible entry was made through a rear bedroom window.  Once inside, the subject(s) went through closets, dressers, desks, etc. and removed several items.  Items taken from the residence included a Garmin GPS, Chanel sunglasses, a leather jewelry box, and miscellaneous loose change.  Also taken were approximately 80 uncirculated two dollar bills, Susan B. Anthony dollars, a large amount of 1970's silver dollars, wheat pennies, and half dollars.  Several pieces of jewelry were taken, including diamond rings and necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and watches.  The residence was located on the north side of Bertinetti and the incident occurred sometime between 2:30 pm on 06-07-13 and 8:30 am on 06-09-13.  

 

On June 9, The Sheriff’s Office was notified of a burglary of a machine shed,   where an ATV was taken. This incident occurred in the May Township area.  

 

On June 10, Assumption Cooperative Grain Company in Pana notified the Sheriff’s Office to report a burglary.  Unknown subject(s) took money and checks from the business.
