As heard on Genuine Country 94.3 WMKR, the Taylorville Tornadoes baseball team’s season came to an end Wednesday night with a 5-2 loss to the Bloomington Purple Raiders in the Springfield Sectional Semi-Final. Errors were the story of the game for the Tornadoes as several miscues kept innings going and eventually led to runs for the Purple Raiders. Despite the loss, it is still a great and memorable season for the many seniors that are on the team as they won a regional title which was the first time a Tornadoes baseball team has done so since 1984. They also finished with a winning record of 15-14.
