Big Fundraiser Going on to Save Roseland Theater

The Roseland Theater in Pana is on the verge of being shut down. With the recent changes in technology and films being switched over to a digital format, owners Jeff and Julie Eisentraut must raise the money to purchase a digital projector or they may be forced to shut down the theater. The conversion process of the theater from film to digital is going to cost 52,000-dollars. A website known as “kickstarter.com” allows people to start fundraising campaigns and the Eisentrauts have started one so people can donate money to help save the theater. There are also several rewards to go along with the donations: a 10-dollar donation gets you a voucher for a family size popcorn to go, a 100-dollar donation will get four tickets to the digital premiere and a Roseland Theater tote bag, a 500-dollar donation will get a movie party for 100 people with popcorn and soda, and up to a 10,000-dollar donation will get a 10-year movie pass for four, two tote bags, a movie party, and recognition on the theater’s Wall of Fame. You can make donations  by clicking here: “Roseland Theatre Digital Projectors”. The campaign ends on June 29th.
