Fraudsters are always ready to implement a new scam, and they can be quick to react to stories in the news. Citizens Advocate Mac McGuire says several scams popped up almost instantly following the Boston Marathon bombing:

Macguire says if you suspect a scam, contact your local law enforcement, the Better Business Bureau and the State Attorney General’s office.
