Area Arrests/Traffic Accidents 3-22-13

THE CHRISTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:

Roy W. Colclasure, 38, of Pana was arrested on March 22 on a bond forfeiture warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia.

TRAFFIC: 

On March 21 Wayne E. Arthur, 77, of Hindsboro Illinois, was traveling southbound on IL Rt. 51 approx 3/10 of a mile north of twp. rd 600 north.  He was pulling a houle 5350 fertilizer spreader.  He stated the spreader began to sway.  He crossed the center line and attempted to correct its direction of travel.  Arthur proceeded back into the southbound lane where the spreader overturned.  The spreader overturned once and came to rest facing in a northwest direction.  He received damage to the driver's side rear area, rear window, and back end.  The spreader had overall damage.  No injuries were reported.

Kourtney E. White Watts, 19, of Niantic was northbound on county rd #22 and stopped at the stop sign .  She stated that she preceded into the intersection and directly into the path of Jeffrey W, Fielstul, who was traveling westbound on cty rd #2 approaching cty rd #22.  Fielstul stated that he seen White entering the intersection and tried to avoid being struck but was unable to do so.  Fielstul drove onto the shoulder of the roadway approximately 56 ft. before the intersection and continued west into the north side of the intersection where he was struck.  Fielstul continued thru the intersection and into the ditch approximately 99 ft. returning back to the roadway and coming to rest.  No injuries were reported.

On March 21, a Christian County Sheriff's Office deputy was dispatched to a single vehicle accident on Illinois Rt. 48 at approximately 1170 north.  He arrived on scene and spoke with the driver, Robert Hylton, 47, of Morrisonville.  Hylton stated an animal ran in front of his vehicle and he struck the animal.  The Christian Coounty Deputy observed damage to the undercarriage of his 2002 Lincoln LS.  Hylton was towed from the scene.  No injuries were reported.

 

THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING:

On March 21,at approximately 9:29 am, a Taylorville Police Officer observed a vehicle make an I.V. C. violation in the area of Rt. 29 and Lake Drive.  The officer stopped the vehicle and made contact with the driver who was identified as Jaclyn C. Pugsley, 24, of Pana.  It was ran through Law Enforcement Agency Data System that the drivers license was suspended in Illinois.  Pugsley was arrested, transported to the Taylorville Police Department, processed and released. 

On March 21, at 11:24 am, a Taylorville Police Officer was dispatched to 610 S. Webster Street.  The officer was informed that a male juvenile was at the residence.  The juvenile had an active warrant for his arrest.  The juvenile was located, arrested and transported to the Taylorville Police Dpartment.
