If the thought of dieting makes you cringe, you should know there is an alternative that may work for you. New research points to “Mindless eating” as a culprit in weight control issues. Nutritionist Joyce Fikri of the St. Louis Dairy Council says it’s easy to eat without thinking:

Fikri says replace the chips and candy with healthier snacks, like yogurt, fruit, cheese and whole grain crackers. Fikri says research shows protein filled snacks enhance your feeling of fullness, so that may help with curbing your temptation.
