Uncertainty remains for the Cowden Herrick School District. Like many schools in Central Illinois, the district is suffering because of the failure of the State Legislature to deliver promised funds.
The Cowden Herrick School Board’s Finance Committee will meet next week to discuss a predicted shortfall of well over a half million dollars.
Superintendent Darrel Gordon says in the meeting notice that they hope to avoid layoffs and reductions in curriculum. The meeting is Monday March 11th at 6:30pm.
