Area Arrests/Traffic Accidents 3-4-13

THE CHRISTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING:

Lakhvir Singh, 28, of 320 S. Curtis, Edinburg, was arrested on March 4 for domestic battery. 

Ashley L. Rockford, 28, of 28 Fairview Trailer Court, Taylorville, was arrested on March 4 for domestic battery. 

Scott A. Kay, 42, of 133 S. Locust, Pana, was arrested on March 2 for domestic battery. 

Bret L. Spencer, 52, of 332 E. Masonic, Owaneco, was arrested on March 2 for battery.

Joseph L. Ishmael, 26, of 313 Garfield Ave., Pana, was arrested on March 2 for domestic battery. 

Nathan K. Wiggle, 26, of 4524 North Kruse, Decatur was arrested on March 3 on a bond forfeiture warrant for unspecified statute.

Samantha J. James, 29, of 507 Fairview, Pawnee, was arrested on March 3 for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.

Todd W. Tonelle, 47, of Rural Taylorville, was arrested on March 2 on a bond forfeiture warrant for possession control. 

Paul M. Hocq, 38, of 200 S. 11th, Springfield, was arrested on March 2 on a bond forfeiture warrant for possession of cannabis. 

Deborah L. Christer, 42, of 133 1/2 S. Locust, Pana, was arrested on March 2 on a bond forfeiture warrant for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, driving on a suspended license, and disorderly conduct.

Walter D. Harker, 50, of 1218 W. Pauline Apt. 1, Taylorville, was arrested on March 2 for domestic battery.

Gerald A. Brown, 28, of 715 E. Poplar, Taylorville, was arrested on an original arrest warrant for theft.

Rian N. Nagle, 23, of 1276 US Highway 51, Assumption, was arrested on a bond forfeiture warrant for driving with a suspended license.

Wendy L. Law, 45, of South Vine, Pana, was arrested on a bond forfeiture warrant on February 28 for deceptive practice. 

Todd K. Coleman, of 48, of Rural Assumption, was arrested on March 4 on an original arrest warrant for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. 

TRAFFIC

James W. Farris, 58, of Rochester was traveling south on County Highway 22 and approaching a right hand curve at 1800 N. Rd.  Farris went off the roadway as he entered the curve and lost control.  He went off the east side of the roadway and overturned in a greass medium and came to rest in his 1991 Jeep Wrangler.  Farris was assisted in exiting his vehicle through the rear window.  His vehicle was towed from the scene.

Ryan C. Casner, 29, of Taylorville was heading north on 1900 East Rd., around 1100 N. Rd and a deer ran into the roadway. Casner hit the deer causing damage to the front of his 2003 Chevrolet Silverado.

Vincent E. Muncy, 27, of Taylorville was traveling eastbound on County Highway 6 approximately 1/2 mile of a mile east of Township Rd. 1900 East.  Muncy lost control on the snow/ice convered roadway.  Muncy exited the roadway t the right and traveled approximately 50 ft. before striking the south ditch., then traveled another 70 ft., in the ditch, overturning before coming to rest in his 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee with its wheels facing northeast. 

THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORT THE FOLLOWING:

ARRESTS

On March 3, a Taylorville Police Officer was on patrol and observed a grey Chevrolet car traveling north on Cheney.  Taylorville Police Officer knew the driver, Gregory Mclean, did not have a valid drivers license.  Upon further investigation, a female and male juvenile passenger were arrested for illegal consumption.  Gregory Mclean, 24, of Taylorville, was placed under arrest for no valid drivers license.

On March 2, at 10:39 pm, a Taylorville Police Officer received a report of criminal damage to property at 1525 West Elm.  Officers tried making contact with the subject, Dotty M. Eppenger, who resides at 1523 W. Elm.  The female subject Dotty M.  Eppenger, 25, of Taylroville tried exiting the rear of ther apartment through a window and fleeing on foot.  Officers had a  short foot pursuit and apprehended the female.  She was charged with criminal damage to property, attempting to flee and elude officers. She was transported to Taylorville Police Department for processing and released on a notice to appear. 

In The early morning hours of March 3, Taylorville Memorial Hospital called the Taylorville Police Department and advised a male subject, Nathan K. Wiggle, 26, of Decatur ran out of the Emergency Room on foot.  He had a valid warrant out of Macon County.  He was apprehended in the parking lot of Quiznos.  He was placed under arrest and later transported to Christian County Sheriff's Office. 

At 2:40 am on March 3, Mark G. Passonie, 52, of Taylorville, came to the Taylorville Police Department and stated that Ronald E. Hall beat him up outside of the Cork & Keg.  Officers located Ronald Hall at Bill's Toasty.  After speaking with witnesses, both subjects were charged with fighting in public.  Ronald Hall, 40, of Taylorville, was also charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia.  They were released on notices to appear.

On March 3 at 10:22 am, a Taylorville Police Officer was dispatched to 102 E. Vine in reference to a female not leaving the residence.  During the investigation, Ashley L. Riggs, 28, of Taylroville was arrested for domestic battery and transported to the Taylorville Police Department for processing.  She was later transported to the Christian County Correctional Center in lieu of bond.

On March 1, a Taylorville Police Officer arrived at Walmart in reference to a retail theft.  After speaking to loss prevention, Johnny Lee Katcher, 26, of Taylroville, was arrested for retail theft.  He was transported to the Taylorville Police epartment and released on a notice to appear. 

On March 1, a Taylorville Police Officer was on patrol and observed a male subject walking in the 700 block of East Poplar Street.  Taylorville Police Department officer knew the male subject to have a warrant out of Christian County.  Taylorville Police Officer made contact with the male subject and ran his name through the Law Enforcement and Agency Data System and verified the warrant.  Gerald A. Jr. Brown, 18, of Taylorville, was placed under arrest and transorted to the Christian County Correctional Center in lieu of bond.

On March 2, officers were dispatched to 1218 W. Pauline apartment 10, in reference to Walter Harker, 50, of Taylorville throwing Lisa Harkers clothes out the front door.  Taylorville Police Officer witnessed upon arrival, Walter Harker with his hands on Lisa Harker.  Walter Harker was arrested for domestic battery, and transported to Taylorville Police Department where he was processed and then transported to the Christian County Correctional Center.
