Remodeling of the interior of the Big Red Barn radio studios south of Clinton has begun.  The building houses WHOW THE BIG 1520 AM/92.3 FM, WEZC “Playing America's BEST Music!” 95.9 FM, and dewittdailynews.com.

The building is getting a new floor throughout most of the building, replacing vinyl and carpeting with a new wood laminate floor. Once the flooring is done, all the interior walls will get a new coat of paint with access colors to match the new flooring.

Flooring for the project is coming from Rich's Home Center in Clinton, with paint being purchased from Gibson Ace Hardware and the painting contractor is Jim Redding of Clinton. The project is expected to be completed in the next 30 days. The last time the interior of the Big Red Barn was remodeled, was in 2003.

WHOW and WEZC were purchased in October 2007 by the Miller Media Group's Kaskaskia Broadcasting, Inc.  Miller Media Group also owns radio stations that serve Taylorville, Pana, Shelbyville, Charleston, Kewanee, Galva, Geneseo, and the Quad Cities.
