>>Bulls Run Past Sixers

(Philadelphia, PA)  --  Joakim [[Joe-ah-kim]] Noah led four Bulls in double-figures with 21 points as the
Chicago defeated the 76ers 96-89.  Luol Deng [[Lou-all  Dang]] scored 19 points
and added 12 rebounds.  The Bulls moved to 12-and-9 after outscoring the Sixers
55-45 in the second half.  Chicago hosts the Nets on Saturday.

>>Bears' Marshall no fans of Packers

(Lake Forest, IL)  --  Chicago Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall doesn't care for the Green Bay
Packers.  He said as much on Wednesday.  Marshall explained he won't shake the
Packers' hands and that he is going to play like it's his last game.  Marshall
took exception to some things a couple of Packers players said after the first
meeting this season between the teams.  The Bears host Green Bay in a key NFC
West game on Sunday.

>>Laurinaitis, Finnegan Miss Practice

(Earth City, MO)  --  Linebacker James Laurinaitis [[Lor-in-eye-tis]] and cornerback Cortland Finnegan
did not practice Wednesday for the St. Louis Rams.  Laurinaitis has a back
injury and Finnegan an ankle problem.  Running back Steven Jackson received a
normal day of rest.  Wide receiver Danny Amendola was limited in practice with a
foot injury.  The Rams host the Minnesota Vikings Sunday.

>>NHL Labor Talks Make No Progress After Mediation Session

(Iselin, NJ)  --  The NHL and the Players' Association met with federal
mediators for a little over six hours on Wednesday without making any progress
in the ongoing labor dispute.  The session was overseen by federal mediator Scot
Beckenbaugh and was held at the office of the Federal Mediation and Conciliation
Services in Iselin, New Jersey.
