SIU Healthcare has announced it's opening an OBGYN clinic in Taylorville next
month.  SIU's Dr. Erica Nelson says the services offered will be similar to
what's already in Springfield.

Nelson says such services are already available in Taylorville and
surrounding areas, but there aren't enough because many of their patients travel
into Springfield to be treated.

She says vital care can get expensive and
inconvenient, especially in the later parts of pregnancy when more care is
required.  The clinic will be open once a week to start, but hours could expand
later.
