>>Illini Jump In Rankings; Host Norfolk State Tonight

(Champaign, IL)  --  Illinois moved up four spots in the latest "USA Today" Top-25 Rankings
released on Monday.  The Illini are now 10th in the country following their
10-and-0 start to the season.  They are back in action tonight as they host
Norfolk State at Assembly Hall you can hear coverage of that game on Newstalk 97.3 WTIM.

>>Rams Shift Focus To Vikings

(Earth City, MO)  --  The Rams are shifting focus to this week's home game against the Vikings.  St. Louis has won three straight following Sunday's 15-12 win at Buffalo.  The Rams are 6-6-and-1
and in third place in the NFC West.

>>NHL Cancels Games Through December 30th

(New York, NY)  --  The NHL is cancelling more regular season games due to the ongoing labor stalemate
between owners and players.  Games through December 30th have now been called
off.  The league had previously wiped out games through December 14th as well as
the Winter Classic and All-Star Game.

>>White Sox Finalize Three-Year Deal With Keppinger

(Chicago, IL) --  The White Sox have finalized a three-year contract with infielder Jeff
Keppinger.  MLB.com reports the deal is worth 12-million-dollars.  The
32-year-old is expected to take over at third base.  Keppinger hit .325 with
nine homers and 40 RBI in 115 games last season, his best in the majors.
