On Friday Stephen R. Coy 41 of Taylorville was traveling west on Springfield Road in front of Taylorville High School. While Coy was doing this Eric C. Handegan 25 of Taylorville, Kevin C. Gibson 47 of Moweaqua and David A. Clark 50 of Taylorville were stopped for traffic in front of the high school.
Coy did not stop his 2011 Chevy pick-up truck in time and struck Handegan's 2000 GM vehicle which then hit Gibson's 2006 Toyota RAV4 then hit Clark's 2013 Chevy pick-up truck. Gibson's RAV4 had to be towed from the scene. There were no injuries reported at the accident.
