>>Jets Beat Rams To Snap Three-Game Skid

(St. Louis, MO)  --  The Rams had three turnovers in a 27-14 loss to the Jets yesterday.  Sam Bradford
was 23-of-44 for 170 yards with two TDs and an interception as St. Louis fell to
3-6-and-1.  Brandon Gibson had two TD catches in the setback.  The Rams head to
Arizona to face the Cardinals next week.

>>Bears Battle Niners Tonight In San Francisco

(San Francisco, CA)  --  The Bears are in San Francisco to battle the 49ers tonight on "Monday Night Football."  Chicago quarterback Jay Cutler has been ruled out due to a concussion and Jason Campbell will start in his place.  The Bears are 7-and-2 after last week's loss to Houston while San Francisco enters tonight's game at 6-2-and-1.

>>Former Bears Coach Mike Ditka Suffers Minor Stroke

(Undated)  --  Former Chicago Bears head coach Mike Ditka is recovering from a minor stroke.  The 73-year-old was hospitalized Friday after suffering what doctors say is a "very minor stroke." The "Chicago Tribune" reports Ditka was playing cards at a country club when he noticed his hands weren't working properly and he was having speech issues.  Ditka did not make any appearances this weekend on ESPN in his role as an analyst.

>>Cardinals Introduce New Alternate Home Jersey

(St. Louis, MO)  --  There is a new alternate home jersey for the St. Louis Cardinals.  The team
has unveiled its first uniform update since 1998.  The jersey will be cream
colored with St. Louis in script under the bat instead of Cardinals.  The "Birds
on the Bat" logo has been given more detail, red piping has been added down the
front and player numbers on the front will be smaller.

>>Illinois Football Falls To Purdue

(Champaign, IL)  --  Despite Nate Scheelhaase's late touchdown run, Illinois fell to Purdue on Saturday,
20-17.  Scheelhaase finished with 76 rushing yards and 160 through the air as
the Illini fell to 2-and-9 while turning the ball over three times.  The Illini
face Northwestern in Evanston next week to close the season.

>>Illini Hoops Open Maui Invitational

(Maui, HI)  --  Illinois basketball starts the Maui Invitational late tonight against USC.  The Illini
slipped past Hawaii on Saturday in overtime, 78-77, to improve to 3-and-0. 
Tonight's game is scheduled to tip off at 11:00 p.m. central time.
