>>Illinois Handles St. Francis

(Champaign, IL)  -- As heard on Groovy 93.5, Illinois picked up an 89-64 win over St. Francis last night.  The Illini moved to 2-and-0 on the young season after Friday's season-opening win over Colgate.  The Illini
head to Honolulu to face Hawaii Friday before playing in the Maui Invitational
next week.

>>Celtics Run Past Bulls

(Chicago, IL)  --  Rajon Rondo finished a rebound shy of a triple-double as the Celtics took care of the Bulls, 101-95.  Luol Deng [[ loo-OLL  dang ]] led the way with 26 points and 11 rebounds for
Chicago.  Joakim [[ joe-keem ]] Noah added 17 points and 11 boards while Carlos
Boozer had 15 points in the loss.  The Bulls fell to 4-and-3.  Chicago plays in
Phoenix tomorrow night.

>>Bears Get Set For Niners

(Lake Forest, IL)  --  The Bears are moving on from Sunday night's 13-6 loss to the
Texans.  Chicago has an extra day to prepare for this week's Monday Night
Football matchup in San Francisco against the 49ers.  The Bears remain atop the
NFC North at 7-and-2.

>>Molina Up For MVP Thursday

(Undated)  --  Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina is up for the National League MVP award on Thursday.  Molina is up against Giants catcher Buster Posey, Pirates outfielder Andrew McCutchen,
Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun and Padres third baseman Chase Headley for the
honor.  It will be announced Thursday evening live on MLB Network.
