>>Bears Meet Titans Sunday

(Lake Forest, IL)  --  The Bears are making final preparations for Sunday's game in Tennessee against the Titans.  Chicago won its fifth straight game last week after edging Carolina, 23-22.  The
Bears sit atop the NFC North entering the weekend at 6-and-1 while Minnesota and
Green Bay are each 5-and-3.

>>Tillman Named NFC's Best In October

(New York, NY)  --  The NFL has named Bears cornerback Charles Tillman the NFC Defensive Player of the Month for October.  Tillman took two interceptions back for touchdowns and forced a
pair of fumbles during the month.  Fellow Chicago cornerback Tim Jennings took
home the same award in September.

>>Rams Finish Practice, Have Four Days Off

(Earth City, MO)  --  The Rams practiced yesterday in Earth City and now have four days off.  The team
will gather next Tuesday and continue to prepare for its next game against the
49ers.  St. Louis travels to San Francisco a week from Sunday to face the
first-place Niners.

>>No Deals For Rams As Deadline Passes

(Earth City, MO)  --  The Rams did not make any trades prior to
yesterday's deadline.  The team had been rumored to be shopping running back
Steven Jackson.  The NFL moved the trade deadline from Tuesday to yesterday due
to the impact of Hurricane Sandy.

>>Ernie Hays Dies At 77

(Maryland Heights, MO)  --  Busch Stadium organist Ernie Hayes died Wednesday at his home in Maryland Heights.  Hays had been the organist for St. Louis home games since 1971.  The beloved figure at
Cardinals games was 77 years old.

>>Illini Battle Unbeaten Buckeyes

(Columbus, OH)  --  Illinois will face unbeaten Ohio State tomorrow in Columbus.  The Illini are just 2-and-6
on the season and have lost five straight contests.  Though ineligible for
postseason play, the Buckeyes are the lone nine-win team in FBS.

>>Irish Host Pitt In South Bend

(South Bend, IN)  --  Pittsburgh enters Notre Dame Stadium tomorrow to face the third-ranked Fighting
Irish.  Notre Dame improved to 8-and-0 after going into Norman and stomping the
Oklahoma Sooners last week.  The Panthers enter tomorrow's tilt with a 4-and-4
mark.

>>Mizzou Visits "The Swamp"

(Gainsville, FL)  --  Missouri will pay a visit to "The Swamp" tomorrow afternoon where it battles seventh-ranked Florida.  The Tigers are just 1-and-4 in their first season in the SEC and
4-and-4 overall.  The Gators were a perfect 7-and-0 before falling last week to
Georgia.
