The former Christian County Health Department Director Richard M. Ruff 39 of Taylorville has had six felony counts charged against him.

Ruff allegedly stole government property including one Apple iPhone, one Dell Latitude E5500 laptop, one Hitachi video camera, one USA Mobility pager, one external hard drive and various Christian County Health Department clothing the allegedly stolen items are worth over $500.

Ruff also allegedly obtained unauthorized control of government property. Specifically parts of the Christian County Health Department which he made withdrawals against and made various personal purchases with having a total exceeding $500.

Two of the counts filed against Ruff are for theft those two counts are both class two felonies and the other four counts filed against Ruff are for Official Misconduct those four counts are all class three felonies.
