>>Giants Clobber Cards To Win NL Pennant

(San Francisco, CA)  -- The Giants advanced to the World Series by clobbering the defending champion
Cardinals, 9-0, in Game Seven of the NLCS.  San Francisco will host the Tigers
in Game One of the Fall Classic on Wednesday.  Kyle Lohse [[ lowsh ]] was lit up
for five runs and six hits in only two-plus innings to take the loss.  St. Louis
blew a three-games-to-one lead in the best-of-seven series.

>>Bears Outslug Lions

(Chicago, IL)  --  Brandon Marshall had six catches for 81 yards and a score as the Bears outslugged the Lions, 13-7.  Jay Cutler threw for 150 yards and the score to help the NFC North-leading Bears
improve to 5-and-1.  Matt Forte [[ FOR-tay ]] rushed for 96 yards and Chicago's
defense forced four turnovers in the victory.  The Bears host the Panthers on
Sunday.

>>Rams Head To London

(London, England)  -- The Rams have arrived in London
for this Sunday's game against the New England Patriots.  St. Louis departed
yesterday in order to get adjusted to the time difference throughout the week. 
Sunday's game will kick off at noon.

>>Rams Release Ojinnaka

(Earth City, MO)  -- The Rams have released offensive lineman Quinn
Ojinnaka.  The 28-year-old was benched for Sunday's game against Green Bay after
starting the previous five contests at left guard.  Shelley Smith replaced
Ojinnaka in the lineup and St. Louis signed former Bears lineman Chris Williams
to fill the roster spot.

>>Packers' Woodson Out Six Weeks With Broken Collarbone

(Green Bay, WI)  --  The Bears rival Packers will be without defensive back Charles Woodson
until December.  Woodson suffered a broken right collarbone during Sunday's
30-20 win over the Rams and will miss six weeks.  The Packers are 4-and-3 on the
season.
