There is another candidate running for the office of City Treasurer in Taylorville. Melvin White III will be running for the office.

White says that he wants to run for office because of conversations he had with his grandfather.

White is currently a professor at Lincoln Land Community College and he says that, that experience would help him as the City Treasurer.

White says that he was born and raised in Taylorville, and that will help him if he is elected the City Treasurer.

White’s opponents in the race for City Treasurer are Mike Demichael and Jacqueline Nation.
