One of the toughest things about the first few weeks of school is the heat. Normally this time of the year, the temperatures can easily climb into the 90's.
Dr. Greg Fuerstenau, Superintendent of Taylorville Schools, says this year's cooler temperatures have made things a little easier.

Average temperatures in Central Illinois have now dropped into the mid-70s for afternoon highs, while average lows hover around 50.
