On Friday officers received information that James Crepin 39 of Springfield had been picking up a pre-school student in Taylorville since the beginning of the school year.

Officers went to the school and witnessed Crepin picking up a pre-school student. Crepin said he had been picking the child up since the beginning of the school year.

Crepin was arrested, transported, processed and released on a notice to appear for 15 counts of a sex offender being present in a school zone.
